On Thursday, September 13 2018, the LTS received a donation of 2 new computers. The equipment was provided to LTS as a generous donation of the Diasporawerk, a recognized service organization of the SELK in Germany. We at the LTS are sincerely grateful for the donation and wish to express our gratitude to the generous donors. One computer has been set up for the LTS library to manage the ongoing cataloguing of books and administration of the library. The other has been installed in the LTS office to replace the ageing predecessor unit there. Both are much needed items and come as very welcome additions to the LTS infrastructure. Thanks be to God.

Some very welcome donations were received at the LTS today and will of course be put to good use straight away. They come at a much needed point in time. Water bottles, tea, coffee, and sugar were donated by Pastors Lugojolo and Shuttleworth. Beans, oranges, and clothes were received from Ronnie and Ilse Meyer of St. Paul’s up the road. The Meyers have also offered to host Prof. Dr. Werner Klän from the SELK during his upcoming visit to the LTS for an intensive on the Formula of Concord at the end of the month. Thank you very much for your generosity! May the Lord bless you.

The 1986 movie “The Three Amigos” features the now famous question: “Do you know what a plethora is?” We at LTS can safely answer: “Yes, we know what a plethora is.” Why? Because we received a plethora of donated and much-needed foodstuffs over the weekend in the form of gifts by gracious members of the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation in Arcadia and the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church down the street, both associated with the FELSISA. And we know a plethora when we see one. Thank you to all who so generously donated – our cooking personnel thank you, our hungry students thank you, and the LTS thanks you. Together we give thanks the Lord, for He is good, and His faithfulness endures forever. And we speak confidently to Him who sustains us with His word and gifts:
“The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing.” (Ps. 145:15-16)
