]]> The LTS is very privileged to host its first set of intensives for 2022 with Drs. John Nordling and John Pless (both from CTSFW, IN, USA). They are on campus for two weeks to teach courses on Galatians and Catechesis respectively. These lecturers come with a great deal of experience and skills. It is the first time in two years that international lecturers are able to travel and present these courses. We are very grateful!

It also is the first time in 2 years that visitors are allowed to attend the intensives. It is good to have a full classroom again.

The distinguished guests are pictured with Rev. Mintesinot Birru and Rector Dr. Heinz Hiestermann.

Dr. Al Collver of the LCMS donated volumes 1 and 2 of “Confessing the Gospel: A Lutheran Approach to Systematic Theology” on behalf of the International Lutheran Council (ILC). Dr. Pless donated a copy of his book, “The necessary Distinction: A continuing conversation on Law & Gospel.” And our resident lodger Prof. Stefan Gruner from UP donated bibles in IsiZulu, SeTswana, and other African languages. Having traveled safely by the grace of God and having arrived in Johannesburg late on Sunday night, Dr. John T. Pless is ready to go first thing in the morning with this quarter’s first intensive on Chief Part 3 of Luther’s Catechisms: The Lord’s Prayer. The students have set up and are just as ready to begin. The Lord’s blessings on the studies!
