At the start of the academic year, the 2024 student representative council has been elected by the students. They were installed in their offices during Matins by rector Hiestermann. It is the purpose of the SRC to promote the common welfare of all students of the student body. They do this by:

  • Acting as the voice of the student body by providing an open forum whereby concerns can be raised before they become problematic issues.
  • Representing the interests, needs, and greater good of the student body.
  • Working with the administration, faculty, and staff to ensure a supportive academic climate.
  • Carrying out orders from management.
  • Setting an example of the Christian life to fellow students.
  • Upholding the vision and mission of LTS.

Daniel Wowa (Malawi) was elected as chairperson of the SRC, Obedia Choeu (Fairlands, Johannesburg) as secretary, and Lefika Tyolo (Mmabatho Parish), as treasurer. We wish them God’s blessing for this task.
