On Friday, November 25th, LTS concluded the 2023 academic year with the graduation of 14 students. It was the biggest number of graduates in many years. The graduation ceremony was held in the nearby St. Paul’s congregation which had enough space to host students and their guests on this joyous day. We rejoice that the Lord has called these men to serve in His church. These graduates are the first students to have completed the new three-year diploma in theology which was introduced in connection with the accreditation efforts of LTS.

The graduation ceremony started with Matins, where Rector Hiestermann preached on Luke 19:10 and the mission of LTS “to graduate multipliers for the Lutheran Church in Africa”. Matins was followed by the conferring of certificates, a prize-giving, words of greeting, fundraising, and a closing prayer and blessings. Proceedings ended with a shared lunch on the LTS campus. May the Lord bless the students as they start serving in their respective churches.
